How to use content blockers to remove generative AI from search results. The blocklists are manually-curated to avoid accidentally blocking content made by real people.
This guide works on both desktop and mobile. For mobile, you will need to use Firefox (on Android) or Safari (on iOS).
Installation
Your current browser is unsupported. You must use Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or a Chrome-like browser such as Edge, Brave, or Opera.
First, install uBlacklist from Installing a Content Blocker and ensure you enable 1-click imports. Then, click the following links to subscribe to each blocklist:
- Huge AI Blocklist (from Huge AI Blocklist)
- Pumpkin & Mayo Generative AI Blocklist (from Generative AI Blocklists)
Going “Nuclear”
If you want to remove almost everything AI, you can go “nuclear”.
These lists block sites containing a mix of AI and human-generated content from appearing in search results, including Redbubble, DeviantArt, and Pinterest. Only add these lists if you understand the consequences.
